The first television debate of the 2019 general election saw Jeremy Corbyn and Boris Johnson scrutinise each other’s pledges, while Boris Johnson stated that “no-one should have to sell their house” to pay for social care.
But haven’t we heard this before?
Social care reform has been promised by both Labour and the Conservatives for decades, while a recent report suggested that dementia care costs are set to rise from £23 billion to more than £60 billion by 2040.
Discussion about social care has been ongoing for years, but definitive action has not been taken.
We know that is unfair. If you face the prospect of selling your home to pay for care fees, call us. We agree that you shouldn’t have to sell your home, and we can help you.
Pick up the phone and call us on 0203 653 0623 for a free, initial telephone conversation. We are available from 8am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.
